We've Joined the Global VSAT Forum

Since August 2017, SatADSL is a member of the Global VSAT Forum, also known as GVF. Launched twenty years ago, this association is providing essential assistance to the global satellite communications industry. The GVF establishes tools and acts as the representative of satellite communications companies.

Headquartered in London, the GVF is an independent, non-partisan and non-profit organization with 200+ members from every major region of the world and representing every sector of the satellite industry: fixed and mobile satellite operators, satellite network operators, satellite earth station manufacturers, system integrators, service providers such as SatADSL, telecom carriers, consultants, law firms, and users.

The association delivers a practical platform for organizations around the world. This online tool is dedicated to satellite regulatory issues and professional training in VSAT technologies. To this day, the training and certification program has enrolled more than 13,000 professionals, essentially VSAT terminal installers and operators. The program equips them with skills that are difficult to acquire elsewhere.

In addition to promoting VSAT technologies, the association represents the satellite communications industry everywhere in the world to enhance market liberalization, licensing reform and spectrum access. GVF has also worked for nearly 20 years to develop disaster preparedness scenarios in the event of a complete interruption of satellite services globally. These scenarios are prepared in coordination with many actors – including the United Nations Agencies, humanitarian organizations, the military, national administrations, and inter-governmental groups.

SatADSL is particularly honored to have been invited to join this first rate association. This is a great acknowledgment of the efforts of our team of professionals, working for our clients every day.
